This position is responsible for supporting everything from field operations to Fleet management, as well as meeting planning, project management and administrative support for the Dynavax sales force. The Manager of Sales Operations and Fleet Management will manage all aspects of the Fleet Program end-to-end and be the liaison for the field team. This individual will also partner with leaders across the Dynavax organization and support various sales meetings and other administrative needs such as PR and SOW submission. Other responsibilities for the role include new hire training, and other field liaison and field communication activities as needed.

Responsibilities

    • Lead Fleet Management by developing, monitoring and refining all fleet operations.
    • Apply formal best practice methodologies to develop and implement strategies to support the sales process.
    • Support all Field Sales Meetings (National, Regional and Leadership).
    • Maintain the commercial field communication portal (extranet) and “Sales Ops” mailbox.
    • Update and maintain field operations policies and procedures as needed.
    • Proactively look for ways to make processes more efficient, identify opportunities for sales process improvements, including working closely with sales management to inspect sales process quality and prioritizing opportunities for improvement.
    • Support Sales Management and Stakeholders by prioritizing and responding to a variety of requests on a daily basis.
    • Triage communications and troubleshooting of all field related issues.
    • Collaborate with the Associate Director, Training on the roll-out of educational materials, sales reports, and new systems.
    • Coordinate meetings with internal & external participants within the sales organization.
    • Provide administrative support to the Sales organization, including meeting management, purchase requests, and project management.
    • Provide support to the larger department including registration for conferences, scheduling and creating agendas for department and leadership team meetings, etc.
    • Coordinate and manage off-site meetings for executive sales team including site selection, budget planning, meeting space, travel and agenda/event schedule.
    • Support the organization in maintaining a work environment focused on quality and that fosters respect, learning, open communication, collaboration, integration, and teamwork.

Qualifications

    • BS/MS in cell life sciences or related field.
    • A minimum of 3-5 years of pharmaceutical industry sales operations or related experience.
    • Clear track record of managing multiple projects involving cross-functional stakeholders and business objectives.
    • Excellent written, verbal, & interpersonal communication skills to effectively interact with varied department, management, and audience levels (including presentation skills).
    • Must be able to work effectively as an individual contributor and as part of a team is essential.
    • Ability to sit; stand; walk; reach with arms and hands; lift and move small objects; and use hands to keyboard and perform other office related tasks including repetitive movement of the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
    • Occasional travel required, as needed.
    • Full COVID-19 vaccination is required for this position.

    • ADDITIONAL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS DESIRED, BUT NOT REQUIRED:
    • Fleet management experience is preferred.
    • Experience in project management, meeting planning, field communications are preferred.
    • Vaccine experience is preferred.
    • Experience in pharmaceutical or biotech sales is preferred.

Pay Range

    • The estimated salary range for this position is $107,000 to $126,000. Final pay determinations may depend on various factors, including, but not limited to experience level, education, geographical location, knowledge, skills, and abilities. The total compensation package for this position also includes other compensation elements such as stock equity awards and participation in our sales incentive compensation program. Field sales employees receive a company car as well. Dynavax also offers a full range of health and welfare insurance benefits, 401(k) company match, and paid time off benefits, including 17 paid holidays in 2023.
